House League! Let’s Play Ball!

The Barrie & District Girls Softball Association has several important objectives for the operation of their House League:

	To provide a fun experience for all participants at every age level.
	To create an environment of competitive softball that every player can enjoy.
	To provide guidance to coaching staff that will assist them in teaching the fundamentals of softball.
	To make our House League as enjoyable as possible so that every player will return, year after year.

The House league season begins in May and continues into August. Medals are awarded to the top three Teams in each Division with exception for the Tykes where all players receive a medal. We finish each season with a fun evening which includes a banquet and prizes.

Registration for the House league Program is held from January to April every year and information on where and how to join is available in the registration section on this site.

Team Balance

BDGSA works hard each year to improve to improve team balance in every division. One of the VP of House League’s most important duties is to fairly divide the available talent, within each division, to ensure that we have an equal and competitive level of play. If a team does not win a game, or goes undefeated, we have not been successful.

In addition to a regular season of play there is also an All Star day to showcase the developing talent of house league players. The House League season is capped off with a playoff tournament involving all house league teams.
